the Julian project

Under the direction of Jane Woollard, performer Julie Perrin and musician Trish Watts re-create the textures of the times of 14C medieval mystic Julian of Norwich.

Julian was a contemporary of Chaucer and lived through three episodes of the Black Death as well as the Peasants’ Revolt. Her Revelations of Divine Love made her the first known Englishwoman to be published. She is perhaps best known for her invocation “All will be well and all manner of things will be well.”

Following strong responses to two ‘shewings’ of Julian in 2010, the script is in a new development phase. Watch this space!
